About
About this site
Iron Nest Ops is an independent reference for IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator. It exists because the game asks you to do real arithmetic under time pressure and gives you no calculator, and because a lot of what is written about it online is wrong in ways that are easy to check.
Not official
This is a fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nick Nieuwoudt and Dominik Latos, who developed and published the game. All trademarks and game assets belong to their owners. If you are looking for official information, the Steam store page and the developers' discussion board are the places to go.
How claims are sourced
Everything on this site falls into one of three buckets, and we try to always tell you which:
- Developer-stated. Taken from the developers' own pinned FAQ, patch notes, or store page. Marked Developer-stated where the distinction matters.
- Game data. Read directly out of something the game generates — most often Steam's global achievement unlock rates, which is how the mission list and the difficulty ranking are built.
- Player-observed. Tactics and mechanics worked out by players and posted on the official forum. Reliable, but a description of behaviour rather than of design intent, and subject to patches. Marked Player-observed.
Where a number is derived rather than read — for example the share of players who finished the campaign, which we compute by summing the four ending achievements — the page says so and explains the limitation.
A worked example of why this matters
Multiple IRON NEST fan sites state that the campaign has 17 operations. Steam's achievement list, which the game itself generates, shows 14 numbered operations each with a completion achievement, plus the finale White Shells, whose outcome is recorded by the four ending achievements instead. That is 15. We could not find any evidence for 17, so our mission list says 15 and shows the achievement each figure comes from.
The same applies to the endings. Some sites list them as "Peace, Submission, Destruction, Betrayal". The actual achievement names are A City Silent, A City in Celebration, A City Subdued and The Road Not Taken. We use the names the game uses.

Corrections
Games get patched and guides go stale. If something here is wrong — a number that no longer matches your build, a tactic that has been balanced away, a mission that behaves differently — email hello@hunt-games.com and say which page. Being corrected is the point of citing sources in the first place.
